Getting started with KIRAPAY (account creation, dashboard overview)

Kuma from KIRAPAY
Setting up your KIRAPAY merchant account takes under 10 minutes. The onboarding flow is fully guided — no technical knowledge required. This article walks through every step from sign-in to accepting your first payment.
Step 0 — Sign In
Go to dashboard.kira-pay.com. You can sign up or log in with Google or Apple ID — no long forms, no passwords to create or remember. Once authenticated, KIRAPAY walks you through setup in a clear, sequential flow.
💡 Quick Access: Bookmark dashboard.kira-pay.com before you begin. Never access your merchant dashboard from a search result link — always use the bookmarked URL directly.
Step 1 — Business Country & Type
The first screen asks for two things: your business country or region, and your business type. This allows KIRAPAY to apply the correct compliance rules and payment settings for your location. Pick what applies and continue — nothing complicated here.
Step 2 — Business Details
A short form collects your basic business information:
Business name
Business website (optional but recommended — it appears on your checkout page)
Industry
A short description of your product or service
This isn't marketing copy — it's context that helps KIRAPAY configure the right tools for your use case and display your brand professionally to customers at checkout.
Step 3 — Identity Verification (Optional at Setup)
The identity verification screen appears next. This step is required for full access, higher transaction limits, and long-term account security — but you can skip it during initial setup and complete it later from Settings.
What Verification Requires
Government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID, or driver's licence)
Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within 3 months)
A quick selfie or liveness check
Why It Exists
Protects your account from unauthorised access
Enables account recovery if you lose access
Unlocks higher transaction volume limits
Might be required under global AML/KYC financial regulations for third-party services.
💡 Complete Early: Although verification can be skipped, completing it before you start receiving payments avoids interruptions later. Your information is encrypted and stored securely.
Step 4 — Payment & Settlement Configuration
This is where payments become real. You configure two things:
Wallet Address
Enter the wallet address where your payouts will be sent. KIRAPAY is non-custodial — funds go directly from your customers to you. KIRAPAY never holds your assets.
Settlement Token & Chain
Choose the token and blockchain you want to receive payments in — for example, USDC on Base, or ETH on Ethereum. This setting only controls how you receive funds. Your customers can pay in any of 2,000+ tokens across 70+ chains regardless of what you choose here.
🧵 Recommended Setup: USDC/USDT on Base/Tron is a popular choice for merchants: it's a stablecoin (1:1 with USD, no volatility), Base has near-zero gas fees, and settlement is near-instant.
Step 5 — Enable Two-Factor Authentication & Passkey
Before completing setup, KIRAPAY prompts you to enable 2FA. Two options are available:
Passkey — uses your device's biometric (Face ID, fingerprint) or PIN. Fastest and most seamless.
Authentication app — generates time-based one-time codes via apps like Google Authenticator or Authy.
⚠️ Strongly Recommended: 2FA is optional at setup but strongly recommended — especially once you start receiving real payments. It is required when changing your settlement wallet address, which protects your funds from redirection attacks.
Onboarding Complete — Your Dashboard is Ready 🎉
After completing setup, you land on the main merchant dashboard. Your account is immediately live and ready to accept payments. You will also see your API key on the home screen — the credential that connects KIRAPAY to your app, website, or custom integration.
🚨 Protect Your API Key: Your API key is displayed on the dashboard home screen. Treat it like a password — never share it publicly, never commit it to a public code repository, and regenerate it immediately if you suspect it has been exposed. Access it anytime via Settings → API Keys.
