Customer checkout experience (wallet connection, payment flow)

Kuma from KIRAPAY

Understanding what your customers experience when they click your payment link helps you set accurate expectations, design better purchase flows, and troubleshoot payment issues confidently. Here is exactly what happens — step by step — from the moment a customer opens your link to the moment you receive funds.

💡  KIRAPAY's Core Promise; Most crypto checkouts fail not because customers lack funds — but because they're asked to do too much: switch networks, manage gas, understand chains. KIRAPAY removes all of that. Payments feel simple again.

Step 1 — Open the Checkout Page

The customer opens your payment link in any browser on any device. They see:

  • Your business name and logo (from your Settings configuration)

  • The payment amount and description you configured

  • A clean, mobile-optimised checkout interface — no account registration required

The URL format is checkout.kira-pay.com/[your-link-code] — a clean, professional URL that inspires confidence.

Step 2 — Connect a Wallet

The customer clicks 'Connect Wallet.' KIRAPAY supports 700+ wallets through multiple connection methods:

Best For

Browser Extension

KIRAPAY detects installed browser extensions and prompts the customer to connect in one click — no QR scanning needed

Desktop users with MetaMask, Brave Wallet, or Coinbase Wallet

Mobile Wallet

Step 3 — Automatic Token Detection

Once the wallet is connected, KIRAPAY automatically detects all available tokens across every supported blockchain in that wallet. The customer does not need to know which network their funds are on — KIRAPAY surfaces everything automatically.

Supported scale:

  • 700+ wallets compatible

  • 18K+ tokens accepted

  • up to 80+ blockchains supported

The customer selects which token they want to pay with from the list of their actual holdings. They are never asked to manually specify a network or bridge funds.

Step 4 — Review and Confirm

Before the customer confirms, KIRAPAY displays a clear transaction summary:

  • The exact amount being sent (in their chosen token)

  • The estimated gas fee for their selected network

  • The total cost (payment + gas)

  • An estimated confirmation time based on the network

The customer clicks Confirm in the KIRAPAY interface, then approves the transaction in their wallet. This two-step confirmation — checkout confirm, then wallet approve — ensures the customer has reviewed all details before funds move.

⚠️  No Surprises Policy: KIRAPAY shows all fees before the customer confirms. There are no hidden deductions discovered after payment — what the customer approves is exactly what is sent.

Step 5 — Cross-Chain Routing & Settlement

This step is invisible to the customer but critical to how KIRAPAY works. Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain:

  • The customer's payment is confirmed on their chosen blockchain

  • KIRAPAY's cross-chain routing engine (powered by Relay) executes any necessary token swap or bridge to convert the customer's payment into your configured settlement token

  • Funds are delivered to your settlement wallet address on your configured chain

  • An on-chain receipt is generated and displayed to the customer immediately

The entire process — from customer confirmation to funds in your wallet — typically completes within seconds to minutes, depending on the networks involved.

✅  Non-Custodial Throughout: KIRAPAY never holds your funds at any point in this process. The cross-chain routing is atomic — either the full payment completes and settles to your wallet, or it doesn't proceed. Your assets are never in KIRAPAY's custody.

What the Customer Receives

After a successful payment, the customer sees a confirmation screen with:

  • A payment confirmed status message

  • The transaction hash — a unique on-chain identifier they can use to independently verify the payment

  • A link to view the transaction on the relevant blockchain explorer

  • Optionally, a redirect to your configured success URL
